The birds always sing when it has been raining, but we are in a drought.
They sing anyway. Now that it is too cold to have the doors and windows open I still hear them over the hum of the fridge and the whir of the heater in the mornings.
I wonder how the birds feel about the drought? And what effect the lack of birdsong has on the other plants and animals?
